COLMAR AW22 IN COHESION WITH NATURE
NEXT WINTER’S COLLECTION HAS BEEN DESIGNED TO BE WORN IN COMPLETE HARMONY WITH THE SURROUNDING ENVIRONMENT
Written by Menswear Style in New Collections on the 25th October 2022
Fabrics, shapes, colours and innovation are inspired by nature to suggest tones and shapes in a unique harmonious and sustainable balance. Understated lines, attention to detail, high quality advanced and avantgarde materials give rise to timeless pieces, characterized by technical resistance and durability for a collection of jackets with contemporary design. The offer includes entry season pieces to wear in the autumn when the weather starts to get chilly, to warmer pieces and puffer jackets for winter; there are jackets constructed with wool together with technical fabrics of softshells paired with three-ply fabrics, and eco-sustainable pieces made from recycled and recyclable materials. The colour palette is soft, with natural shades alternating with brighter and louder colours.
Autumn Calling
The start of the season of the Colmar collection is made up of not only the very classic timeless soft down jackets, which are practical, comfortable and technical at the same time. They are made from ultra-lightweight fabric from recycled polyamide, with a water-repellent treatment and rainproof finish. There is a vast range of models and colours; the biker, the timeless gilet, the jacket with an unremovable hood, a field jacket and a shacket. Together with the above, there are also pieces made by bonding soft wool cloth with a polyester jersey with superior inserts made with water-repellent polyamide cloth.
Winter Calling
For the coldest months, Colmar proposes versatile and warm outerwear, made in a fabric developed exclusively for Colmar by Pertex, one of the most important Japanese textile companies. The density of the threads and of the weaves guarantee the excellent resistance of the down, without the use of the other protections which would make the piece heavier. It is technical and the surface has undergone water-repellent treatment. The yarns come from the processing of polyamide waste from the textile sector and therefore have less impact on the environment.
A more technical proposal comes from the combination of an outer fabric in stretch polyester with a very compact appearance and which has undergone water-repellent treatment, to an extremely comfortable tubular interior. They are bonded together with a pattern that creates channels for distribution of the down without the need for quilting fostering both warmth and softness.
The leather effect proposal, in imitation napa leather, is a puffy jacket and recalls the most traditional shapes. Two models of jackets have been made, through the combination of two fabrics, one ultra-lightweight mini ripstop laminated on the back and a very soft imitation leather.
