Whether it's a Windcheater, Windtrekker, Parka, Military, Biker or Bomber jacket, Superdry quite literally have you covered for all situations this Autumn/Winter. This week the British high-street brand have launched their new jackets range with their #InYourElement campaign to "ensure you are able to thrive and be at the top of your game" in all weathers. The collection comprises of a huge selection of pieces where you might find it difficult to choose just one to take you through the colder months ahead. Superdry hasn't just focused on style this season but also on technical features, functionality and the use of plush fabrics.
To test out the new AW18 Jackets Range, MenswearStyle was invited to the incredible Wilderness Reserve in Suffolk where we explored the sprawling outdoors by foot and by bike. One of the new pieces we personally tried is their hooded Down Parka. Classic in design and extremely lightweight, this is the ideal Winter jacket and perfectly suited for our countryside stay. Their quilted outerwear is filled with 90/10 premium duck down (certified by the Responsible Down Standard) with a high fill power rating that creates an amazing amount of insulation. The SDX Parka features an adjustable hood with a removable fur trim, double layer zip and fleece lining for extra warmth. As these jackets are longer in length in the body, there is no chance of feeling the cold.
Claimed as one of their most iconic jackets, the Windcheater is suited for anyone who doesn't like to wear heavy-duty outwear in the Autumn but still needs to be protected from any unexpected weather. The Elite SD Windcheater can be worn with layers underneath, if needed, but you can easily wear it with just a t-shirt as the padded lining will keep you truly toasty. Suitable for city commuters, the jacket features four front pockets and an internal zip fastening pocket for any loose change and keys. For any cyclists, it has double-layered cuffs and the internal layer has thumbholes. We love the adventurous Lava Orange and Paprika Red but if you prefer a more subdued colour, it is also available in classic black.
Available in a variety of colours, the Fuji jacket is another example of Superdry's quilted jackets. As one of their mid-weight pieces, the Fuji is extremely versatile and can we worn on it's own or as a layer for extra warmth under a heavier coat. It has a double collar to keep the cold out from your neck and there are multiple pockets inside and out. It comes with the rubberised Superdry mountain logo badge on the sleeve. This jacket is great to throw on for a quick weekend away and the bright red and electric blue colours will brighten up any dreary day.
For more of a fashion statement and wardrobe staple, check out their new selection of leather jackets. They come in a range of racer, bomber and biker styles produced with fine quality leather and luxurious linings. The Premium Indiana jacket, available in 100% black leather or brown suede, is one of the standout pieces. It has a streamlined fit that will smarten up any pair of jeans and layered jumper on a night out. The price-tag may be at the higher end of the spectrum but this is an investment piece you will be bringing out of wardrobe year after year.
Superdry have certainly invested a lot in their outerwear this season. With such a variety of fits, colours and styles, there is an option for everyone and every occasion. There are plenty of jackets to provide warmth from home to office during the coldest days but also options for layering for the weekends as well as on-trend pieces for the more fashion-focused of you out there.
